Event on Cuba in the City of Melbourne, Victoria

Melbourne, August 1st, 2023. This afternoon an event on Cuba was held at one of the AEU headquarters. The event included a presentation on the impact of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba by Ivan Barreto, a young professional representing ICAP.

Likewise, the scientist Marianniz Díaz made a dissertation on Cuba's achievements in confronting Covid-19. For her part, the Cuban Ambassador referred to the process followed for the approval of the Family Code and its advanced content.

The event was moderated by Maree Delora, President of the Asutralia-Cuba Solidarity Association Branch (Victoria), and was attended by several members of the Melbourne community, as well as sympathizers and friends of Cuba, who were able to ask questions at the end of the presentations.

The Cuban diplomat's words of gratitude to the movement of solidarity with Cuba in that austral city, were of special significance.
