Expressions of support for the Cuban Revolution and repudiation of the blockade continue in South Africa

Cape Town, July 26, 2019.- A demonstration in rejection of the resurgence of the US blockade against Cuba in the South African national Parliament took place on July 26, based in the city of Cape Town, one of the 3 official capitals of South Africa.

The protest was organized by the Friends of Cuba Society (FOCUS) of Cape Town and also participated members of the Communist Party of South Africa and the Association of Veterans Military.

Fatima Swartz, a member of the board of directors of FOCUS in this city, offered interviews for the radio stations Worcester FM and Bush Radio in the framework on this solidarity action, which was also dedicated to the commemoration of the 66th anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

In the context of the resurgence of aggressions and hostility by the United States government against Cuba, FOCUS, a leading organization of solidarity with Cuba in South Africa, has maintained a permanent activism, including acts of protest in the streets.

Only in the month of July, the members of the Association have made multiple statements to the media, public demonstrations have been organized in several locations; interviews for radio and television media, among other actions carried out in support of the Cuban people.
