The book "Who Killed Che?" from the authors Michael Ratner and Michael Steven Smith, published in 2011 in United States, saw the light in its Farsi edition, at Rasaneh Cultural Center in Tehran. This valuable work is the result of the efforts of Cuba’s friends, Mohammad Ghorbani and Ali Aboutalebí, who translated and edited the book.
This book makes available to Iranian readers a substantial analysis and declassified documents on the operation of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to assassinate Che Guevara in 1967 in Bolivia and get away with this heinous crime.
Iranian edition of the book "Who Killed Che?" also has a preface written by the Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Fernando González Llort, who currently serves as vice president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), function from which he thanks and reciprocates solidarity received from all over the world, while he was unjustly imprisoned in United States jails.
The ceremony had the sponsorship and the presence of authorities of the Cultural and Artistic Organization of Tehran Municipality and was also attended by representatives of Latin American diplomatic corps and Iranian public in general.
In his remarks at the launch, the Ambassador of Cuba Vladimir González Quesada highlighted the example of Ernesto "Che" Guevara, present today in the mind and voice of all those who in one way or another are struggling to defend just and humanist causes, to preserve freedom and sovereignty, to eradicate inequity and poverty, and above all to confront the imperialist policies.
