Helsinki, February 28, 2025.- The Embassy of Cuba in Finland accompanied the posthumous service in memory of the former President Sam Nujoma, Founding President and Father of Namibia, organized by the Embassy of Namibia in Helsinki with the support of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission church Suomen Lähetysseura.
The Cuban representative, Beatriz Parra González, gave the Ambassador of Namibia, HE. Mr. Charles B Josob and his wife, a bouquet of flowers dedicated in the name of the Cuban people and government to such a special friend that Cuba will miss deeply.
An emotional moment in which the important work of consolidating the identity of only one Namibia, promoted by the Founding Father of the Nation and the validity of his legacy in the current political, economic and social development of the country, were highlighted.
Personal memories of the late Tatekulu were shared among speakers, including Rev. Eljas Suikkanen, son of Rev. Olli Suikkanen, who baptized Samuel Daniel Shafiishuna Nujoma.
