Dublin, June 21, 2018. At the headquarters of the Irish Parliament Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, who made a working visit to Ireland, held a meeting with senators, deputies and Sinn Féin party officials.
In the meeting that took place in the fraternal atmosphere that characterizes the relations between Sinn Féin and the Communist Party of Cuba, Gonzalez Llort, also a deputy to the National Assembly of Popular Power, informed his colleagues about the recently concluded election process that led to the formation of the 9th term, sealed with the election of Díaz-Canel as President of the Councils of State and Ministers. He also reported on the process of reform of the constitution, framed in the strategic project of updating our economic and social model, which seeks to preserve the gains of the Revolution and achieve new ones.
On the occasion, Sinn Fein was also thanked for its historic solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, especially to achieve the end of the blockade.
Fernando was accompanied by Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes, Cuba's ambassador to Ireland.
