Dublin, June 21, 2018. Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, as part of his work agenda in Dublin held a meeting with the independent deputy John Halligan, Minister for Training, Innovation, Research and Development.
Damian Ofarrell, Special Advisor and Eleanor Lanigan, assistant represented to Finian McGrath, Minister for Disability Affairs attention, to whom a last-minute incident prevented from attending the meeting, but wanted to record his friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people.
During the meeting that took place in an atmosphere of frank friendship, both sides exchanged about events in their respective countries, international news and, in particular, about the areas of competence of both Ministers and the possibilities of exploring alternatives of cooperation in those areas, in the which Ireland and Cuba share common interests.
The meeting was also attended by Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes, Ambassador of Cuba to Ireland.
