Dublin, June 21, 2018. Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples was received by Mary Lou McDonald, President of the Sinn Féin party.
Fernando thanked for the solidarity that the Party historically has sustained in favor of the Cuban Revolution, referring to the recent approval by the National Conference of Sinn Féin of a motion reiterating the call to the United States government to end unconditionally and definitively the blockade and to normalize relations with Cuba.

Both representatives exchanged on partisan efforts to contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations between Cuba and Ireland and cooperation in all possible spheres.
The leader of Sinn Féin in thanking the Cuban deputy for his visit ratified the solidarity commitment of her Party with the Cuban people and the Communist Party of Cuba.
Fernando was accompanied by Hugo R. Ramos Milanés, Cuba's ambassador to Ireland.
