Las Tunas, April 17, 2024.- This Tuesday the "Victoria de Girón" volunteer work brigade, with members of the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association, officially began its stay in Las Tunas. As part of their first activities, the brigade went to the Provincial Pediatric Hospital where each year they carry out important maintenance and support work with medical supplies donations.
In previous days, the members of the Finland-Cuba Association were received by Rigoberto Zarza, Director of Europe of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and other officials of this institution, at which time they were able to learn information about national news, in particular the impact of the blockade on daily life in the country.
Later, on their way to Las Tunas, the brigade members visited the "Ernesto Ché Guevara" sculpture complex where the mortal remains of the Guerrillero Heroico and his fellow fighters rest.
From the Cuban Embassy in Finland we accompany the work of the Brigade and wish a happy stay in our homeland to the friends of the Finland-Cuba Association, with our appreciation for their permanent support against the blockade.
