The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations of the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Honourable Dr. Kenneth Darroux, reiterated his condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US government. against Cuba, during a meeting he held with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in this country, Ulises I. Arranz Fernández, at the Ministry's headquarters. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations, Mrs. Barbara Dailey, also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba referred to the effects of the blockade and thanked the government of the Commonwealth of Dominica for its traditional position of condemnation, especially the one recently made by President Charles A. Savarin during his speech in the segment high-level meeting of the 77th UN General Assembly.
Other topics of interest between both countries related to collaboration and trade were discussed at the meeting. The meeting served to verify the excellent level that exists in bilateral relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
