Fourth Cyprus Ibero-American Film Festival Concludes with Premiere of Cuban Film “A Night with the Rolling Stones”

Nicosia, Cyprus, July 2, 2026. The fourth edition of the Nicosia Ibero-American Film Festival concluded in this capital city of Cyprus with the premiere of the Cuban feature film “A Night with the Rolling Stones” by director Patricia Ramos. The festival was coordinated by the diplomatic missions of Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and Cuba, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute in Nicosia and the Cyprus Film Society.

On the closing day, the Cuban Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, expressed his pleasure at sharing the event in the Pantheon Hall in Nicosia with his counterparts, the Ambassadors of Brazil, Spain, and Palestine, Ms. Ana María Bierrenbach, Ms. Mercedes Alonso Frauyle, and Mr. Abdallah Attari, respectively, along with friends of Cuba. Cubans residing in Cyprus and film lovers on this eastern Mediterranean island.

The premiere of “A Night with the Rolling Stones,” by Cuban director Patricia Ramos, introduced the audience to a versatile cast including Lola Amores, Maité Galbán, Santi Estupiñán, Doris Gutiérrez, Jorge Martínez, Roberto Espinosa, and Kristell Almazán, among others, a group that garnered positive impressions from the audience.

A gift to Cypriot film enthusiasts who have been able to experience the richness and thematic diversity of this showcase of Ibero-American cinema, with heterogeneous, introspective, and always innovative narratives from the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking world.
