On the afternoon of Wednesday 09/22, a webinar was held between directors of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association (AAFC). In the exchange, which lasted just over two hours, they discussed current national issues, of deep interest to the friends of Finland, with emphasis on several recent events, such as: the mass vaccination campaign on the Island; the perennial fight against the genocidal blockade of the United States reinforced with the 243 extra measures; the fight against the wars of the 4th and 5th generation orchestrated against Cuba before and after 11 J; as well as the strategic importance of strengthening the friendship between Cuba and Finland as a bulwark of our ties.
The event was attended by, on the Finnish side, Eeva Kokki and Tomi Kuhanen, president and vice president of the AAFC, respectively, as well as Paula Pere, former head of the Association for the last 12 years.
On the Cuban side, colleagues Rigoberto Zarza Ross, ICAP Europe Director, Rubén Corcho Gómez and Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera, specialists in the area, and Víctor M. Rodríguez Etcheverry, Charge d'Affaires a.i of the Cuban Embassy in Helsinki were present.
