Ten new ambassadors presented their credentials to the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in the Hall of the Próceres, of the Palace of the Revolution. According to the Presidency website, an idea was shared by Díaz-Canel Bermúdez in each of the meetings with the ambassadors: Friendly nations will continue to support Cuba in its fight against the blockade, and against the unjust inclusion of the Island in the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.
The day before, we also learned that nine members of the House of Representatives of the Congress of the Republic of Colombia, together with Senator Sandra Ramírez Lobo Silva, recently demanded "categorically and forcefully" that the United States Government end the sanctions imposed to Cuba, which "would mean a new opportunity for reconciliation in the region, which can open the way for a new panorama in world geopolitics, in which the people of America achieve the necessary well-being."
On the other hand, our Chancellor thanked the strong demand of the State Duma of the Russian Federation to end the prolonged economic blockade of the United States against Cuba and its global call to condemn this illegal policy.
All of these messages come a few days after the United Nations General Assembly takes into consideration the resolution presented by Cuba that demands an end to the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba.
