Belmopan, December 23, 2022. The Solidarity Association for Cuba has coordinated the sending of a donation to the provinces affected by Hurricane Ian.
The initiative was directed by Mrs. Ardelle Sabido with the help of many friends of Cuba in Belize, who in recent months have contributed generous donations of food, clothing, construction materials and medicines, collected in all districts of the country. The cargo also contains construction supplies provided by members of the Cuban State Mission in Belize.
A twenty-foot container was sent to Cuba for distribution to those most affected by Hurricane Ian, which caused significant damage, particularly in the province of Pinar del Río, at the end of September of this year.
On behalf of the people of Cuba, we thank our Belizean friends for this valuable contribution, which will contribute to the recovery from the devastating impact caused by "Hurricane Ian" to our country.
