London 14/02/2025. As part of the academic agreements, a delegation of the Fidel Castro Center held an enriching exchange with the Center for Research on Cuba - Cuba Research Forum of the University of Nottingham. In the picture, Sisi Abay Díaz, director of the Fidel Castro Center, presents the Fidel Castro Reflections Collection, a set of five volumes donated to the center in Nottingham. The reception was hosted by Par Kumaraswami, director of the Cuba Research Forum, and Antony Kapcia, deputy director of the institution, both renowned academics and close friends of Cuba. A copy of the book A Thousand Photos Cuba, a photographic compendium that traces the history of the island from pre-Columbian times to 1966, was also donated. This work, with descriptions in Spanish and English, facilitates access to a wider public. Barbara Elena Flores Casamayor, Research Director of the Fidel Castro Center, and Delio Orozco Gonzalez, from the Historical Archive of Manzanillo, accompanied the meeting. As part of the agenda, the delegation has scheduled meetings in Manchester and London.
