Today, December 3, we celebrate the Day of Latin American Medicine and Health Workers, in honor of the birth of the eminent Cuban scientist Carlos J. Finlay, who discoverer the agent that transmits yellow fever.
From the Cuban Embassy in Seychelles we send our sincere congratulations to all Cuban health workers, who despite the current difficult economic situation maintain the coverage of free and universal health care for all Cuban people in our country.
Our special recognition to the dozens of Cuban doctors and technicians who have provided services in health institutions in Seychelles, to the current Cuban Medical Brigade and to the Seychellois medical students and specialists graduated in Cuba, as part of the bilateral cooperation between both nations.
