Health Authorities of Saint Kitts and Nevis and the Cuban Ambassador hold a working meeting.

Basseterre, March 5, 2025 - The Ambassador of Cuba in Basseterre, David Rivero Pérez, received, on a working visit authorities from the Ministry of Health of this Federation, led by its Permanent Secretary Curtis Martin, at the diplomatic headquarters, this afternoon.

The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, was conducive to reviewing the good state of existing cooperation between both nations, while expressing mutual interest in consolidating and continuing to diversify current ties.

St Kitts and Nevis and Cuba maintain a link in Health matters that dates back to 1996, a relationship that has been strengthened over almost three decades. Today there are 17 Cuban health professionals in the Federation and more than thirty local young people studying at Cuban universities.

Were also present at the meeting the Director of the St. Kitts General Hospital “Joseph Nathaniel France”, Dr. Jenson Morton, the Chief of Medical Staff of Health Services Dr. Daveen Wilkin, and Glenniver Sargeant Human Resource Manager.
