Health collaborators in Dominica celebrate the 61st anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

Roseau, January 1, 2020. The Cuban Health Collaborators Brigade in Dominica celebrated the advent of the 61st anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on December 31, 2019. The activity was attended by the brigade members, the Ambassador of Cuba, Ulises Arranz Fernández and the Consul Miriam Martín Posada, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Health of Dominica, the Embassy of Venezuela and graduates in our country.

At 12 pm Dr. Idelmys Alarcon Arango, on behalf of the 59 cuban health collaborators, read a statement in which she recounted the achievements made in health indicators in Cuba and highlighted the pride they feel for the work they do and the commitment to continue it for as long as necessary. For his part, the Ambassador of Cuba recounted the difficulties and achievements made in 2019, in which despite the intensification of the US government blockade against Cuba, there will be no economic decrement.  It shows the capacity of the people and the government to resist and find solutions to situations as difficult as those presented with fuel in September. I highlight the pride that cubans feel for their health professionals, for whom there will be no media campaign that can denigrate their honorable and humane work.

The activity that began at 9 pm continued past 12, with cuban music and food because cubans have plenty of reasons to celebrate the end of the year 2019.
