Kingstown, 26 September 2024. - Tamara Armenteros Alcee, an official of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with Peoples (ICAP), was interviewed by National Broadcasting Radio (NBC), the national radio station of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as part of her working visit to this Caribbean nation.

Armenteros Alcee, who was accompanied by the Cuban ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, greeted the radio listeners of the popular station, explained the objectives of her visit and spoke at length about the impact on the Cuban people of the intensification of the US economic, commercial and financial embargo. Both officials also explained the repercussions on Cuba, for being included on the spurious list of States Sponsors of Terrorism, which was unilaterally created by the US Department of State.

The radio space was appropriate for thanking the people and government of ST. Vincent and the Grenadines for their unconditional support in the struggle against the embargo, especially the SVG-Cuba Friendship Society, whose members have accompanied all causes of Cuba in recent decades.

The National Broadcasting Corporation exists to promote National Development through the production and broadcasting of information, education, and entertainment programmes, to Vincentians, in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
