Kingstown. September 27, 2024. The ICAP official visiting Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tamara Armenteros Alcee, had a special moment with members of the Cuban Medical Brigade that work in this sister nation, in which she gave an update on the current situation of Cuba, shared elements on the objectives of her working program and encouraged our collaborators to work diligently on the assigned tasks.
The head of the Medical Brigade, Dr. Ulises Castillo Sanz, explained details on the work of the medical collaboration in SVG, while the Cuban ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, stated that it is a great pride to have a group of nurses and doctors that maintains such a high moral and who is aware of its responsibilities with the Vincentian people.
The occasion was a good opportunity to address other issues, such as the impact of the embargo on the Cuban people and the international effort being made to remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. (Cuban Embassy on St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
