ICAP's European Director visits Belfast.

Belfast, June 9, 2024. Rigoberto Zarza Ross, European director of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the People (ICAP), visited the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he met with representatives of solidarity organizations with Cuba.

Zarza Ross exchanged with the Irish solidarity workers about the difficult situation their country is going through, a victim of the economic, commercial and financial blockade, as well as the consequences of keeping Cuba on the State Department's List of countries sponsoring terrorism.

The Irish solidarity ratified their support for the Cuban Revolution and the heroic people who for more than sixty years have defended the sovereignty of their country and its social justice project. Likewise, they demanded the immediate cessation of the blockade and the exclusion of Cuba from the aforementioned List, which harms the Cuban people so much.

Likewise, in just a day of a few hours, the ICAP director was invited by the supporters to visit historical sites linked to the fight of the Irish for their country.

The visit was an opportunity to ratify the close ties and solidarity that have characterized the ties between the Cuban and Irish people.
