Interest in resuming tourist flow to Cuba increases in Finland

Helsinki, November 10th.- On Wednesday afternoon, the television producer, businessman and great friend of Cuba Mr. Folke West, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Finland, being received by the acting head of mission, Mr. Victor Manuel Rodríguez Etcheverry.

During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat updated his counterpart about the new border opening measures, the restart of the school year at all levels of education on the Island, as well as the return to the "new normality" on November 15th, thanks to the massive vaccination campaign with Soberana and Abadala, deployed by the Government and the Cuban health authorities.

Mr. West showed the Charge d'Affaires a.i the extensive work that his agency carries out in the Greater Antilles by promoting ecological/nature, cultural, historical, heritage and travel tourism projects. The businessman expressed the will to resume scheduled trips from 2022, when the rate of infections in the world, of COVID-19, should go down.
