Roseau, Dominica, February 5, 2020. The Head of the Cuban Brigade of Health Collaborators in Dominica, Dra. Isolina López Cardoso, appeared yesterday night, February 4, 2020, on the radio station “Dominica Broadcasting Station” (DBS). During her speech, the doctor recounted Cuba's collaboration in health matters throughout the world during all its years of Revolution and especially, the one currently being developed in Dominica.
The cuban doctor recounted her experiences as a collaborator in other countries where she has fulfilled the honorable and beautiful mission of healing and saving human lives, in which they always received the affection and admiration of the peoples, as they receive it in Dominica. As for the current collaboration that takes place in this country, she points out that the number of members of the Brigade has increased in recent years, going from approximately 30 at a time when Hurricane Maria occurred to 58 today. He also referred to the quality of the Brigade, composed of a high number of professionals in different medical specialties, which are located in several regions of the country, including the main hospital that has Dominica, the Hospital "Friendship Dominica-China", located in the capital.
At the conclusion, Dra. Isolina referred to the campaign that the USA government. and its allies in this continent, unleash against the collaboration of cuban health. In that sense, she said that despite this campaign, the people do not get confused and recognize the work of cuban health professionals, and Dominican is an example of this, where government and people constantly recognize the work they do. She ratified the willingness of the entire brigade to remain as long as necessary.
