Invited by the Communist Party of Ireland, Cuban deputy, Dr. Enrique Alemán Gutiérrez, participates in an act of solidarity with Cuba.

Dublin, February 25, 2025.  On the visit to Ireland of the Cuban deputy, Dr. Enrique Alemán Gutiérrez, at the headquarters of the Communist Party (PCI), on the night of the 24th, a historic day for Cubans, Irish supporters expressed their support for the Revolution. The meeting, which became an act of solidarity, fostered fraternal exchange between the participants and the representative of the National Assembly of People's Power.

In this framework, the coordinator of the Platform for Inter-Religious Dialogue and the Sociocultural project Cabildo Quisicuaba, explained the important work carried out in the Popular Council of the municipality of Centro Habana, aimed at social reintegration and community work, guided by the humanist ideas of Marti and Fidel.

The participants were interested in knowing how, in the midst of the difficult situation the country is going through, a project like this has been able to maintain the achievements of the Revolution. Dr. Alemán explained in this regard that, thanks to joint work, based on the principle of solidarity between its members and sustainability, they have been able to advance, caring for more than 3,500 people, including vulnerable people, older adults, single mothers, sick people, young people, etc.  He highlighted, in the same sense, the work of the agricultural camp located in San Antonio de los Baños that is part of the project.

Likewise, he addressed the religious foundation that has inspired it, exposing its inclusive character that extends its support to the diversity that makes up Cuban society today, within the area of ​​Central Havana where it is carried out.

Among those, attending was the Cuban ambassador to Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, who expressed his gratitude for the active role that the PCI plays in solidarity with Cuba.
