Iran celebrates the 42nd Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

Tehran, February 9, 2021. Ambassadors accredited in Tehran attended the ceremony to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. In one of the most important moments of his speech, the president expressed that “today, no one should wait for Iran to take the first step (to return to the Nuclear Agreement).

He explained that the US withdrawal. and the breach of obligations by European countries have been the reason for the Iranian reduction of its commitments. "Iran is ready to fulfill all its obligations immediately after the US fully fulfills its obligations again," he said. Referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, he acknowledged that the Persian nation has managed to overcome the enormous difficulties imposed by the US sanctions for the acquisition of medical equipment, food and medicines. Later, the ambassadors had the opportunity to greet and congratulate the Iranian president, as is customary every year, complying with the rules of social distancing.
