Tehran, November 30, 2018. As part of the activities commemorating the second anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, the Cultural Center "Café Collection" was inaugurated in the city of Karaj, adjacent to the Persian capital. This center, unique in Iran, will be led by the President of the Cuba-Iran Friendship Association, Hadí Khansarí. At the entrance of the beautiful and welcoming space, the logo of the Friendship Association presided over by the name of Cuba is located and is mostly decorated with Cuban images, crafts, music, cigars and coffee.
The inauguration was attended by Mario Barquero, Nicaraguan Ambassador, a large number of Iranian artists and intellectuals, members of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association, representatives of the Cuban community residing in Iran and the collective of the Embassy of Cuba in Tehran
In his speech, Mr. Khansarí paid tribute to the Commander in Chief, while reiterating his admiration for Cuba and its people. On the Cuban side, the Third Secretary, Junior Peñalver Quevedo, in charge of cultural affairs and direct work with this organization, recalled the extraordinary importance that our Commander in Chief always gave to Culture and who on behalf of Cuba, handed over Hadi Khansarí, the letter sent by the Hero of the Republic of Cuba and President of ICAP, Fernando González, in gratitude for the support to the demand for the cessation of the blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States. He also received a donation from the Embassy consisting of Cuban music and crafts.
