Tehran, May 26, 2026 – The Cuban Ambassador to Iran, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, received at the Cuban Embassy in Tehran the head of the Iran-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, Jalil Mokhtar, and Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee. They were accompanied by several members of the group.
After exchanging views for several hours on the current scenario of US threats against Iran and Cuba, the Iranian members of parliament expressed their full solidarity with our country in the face of the blockade and threats. They also thanked the Cuban government for its firm stance in condemning the attacks perpetrated by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran. At the event, the GPA announced a call from the Iranian parliament to parliamentarians worldwide to join in condemning the US and expressing solidarity with Cuba.
