During the ceremony of donation of the Complete Works of the Liberator Simon Bolivar by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Universities of Tehran, Allameh Tabataba'i and Islamic Azad, the Iranian academic sector expressed their condolences on the recent death of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
In a meeting with the Latin American Heads of Mission present, prior to this ceremony held at the Islamic Azad University North Tehran Branch, its President Dr. Ali Mohammad Safania, upon hearing the presence of the Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, began his intervention by transmitting on behalf of the high studies center the heartfelt sympathies for the death of the leader of the Cuban revolutionary process. The Ambassador thanked the gesture.
Later, during the course of the donation ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature of Tehran University, Dr. Mariam Haghroosta, explaining the work of her organization to promote Hispanic American language and culture, made an aside to convey his condolences for the physical loss of Fidel Castro Ruz and announced that for the second semester of this school year they plan to organize a seminar on the life and work of this revolutionary figure of universal scope. At the time, Dr. Haghroosta was also thanked for her statement.
This activity was chaired by the Venezuelan Ambassador, Mr. Jesús González González, who was accompanied by his colleagues from Cuba, Bolivia, Mexico and Chile. In addition, the directors of Teheran, Allameh Tabataba'i and Islamic Azad universities, as well as professors and students of the Spanish Department in this last study center also attended.
