Iranian and Cuban presidents hold official talks

Iran's President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, held official talks in this capital Monday after a ceremony to welcome the visitor.

The talks between the two presidents took place behind closed doors at the Sa’dabad Historical-Cultural Complex, where Díaz-Canel was received with all honors befitting a head of State.

At the end of their meeting, Raisi and Díaz-Canel will offer a joint press briefing to announce details of their conversation. It will be focused on giving continuity to the agreements previously reached and explaining the rest of the activities planned for the Cuban president’s official visit.

Leading a high-ranking political and economic delegation, the Cuban statesman arrived at Tehran airport on Sunday. He was received by Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Bahram Eynollahi, who is also the head of the Iran-Cuba Joint Cooperation Commission.
