Iranian health minister signs book of condolences for Fidel's death

The Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, visited the Residence of the Cuban Ambassador in Tehran to sign the book of condolences that will be officially open there in the next few hours, on occasion of the recent death of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

 

The Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada thanked the minister, who is also co-president of the Cuba-Iran Intergovernmental Commission, the gesture of attending to the diplomatic residence to express his heartfelt condolences on behalf of his government for the death of the Cuban revolutionary leader, who he described as a world-class man devoted to his principles in the struggle in favor of the oppressed peoples and against imperialism.

 

The diplomat took advantage of this opportunity to convey through his person the gratitude of the Cuban people and government for the messages of condolences sent, immediately after known Fidel’s death, by President Hassan Rohaní and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to their respective counterparts because of this unfortunate loss.

 

Hashemi said he was sure that the Cuban people will continue the route initiated by Fidel, inspired by his praiseworthy example.
