In Ireland, a 60-km walk in solidarity with the Cuban people and against 60 years of the unjust Yankee blockade.

The Cuban Embassy in Ireland is pleased to share with our friends and readers this commendable solidarity initiative of the “Cuba Support Group Ireland” as a demonstration of rejection of 60 years of unjust economic blockade imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people.

“We Cuba Support Group Ireland (CSGI) walk in solidarity with the Cuban people and against the U.S. blockade!

We take the 1847 Irish famine route along the Royal Canal taken by 1490 starving Irish, victims of another imperialism.

On the 30th of September will be walking 60 none-stop kilometres through night and day to represent 60 years of the relentless US blockade, we will arrive at the The Convention Centre Dublin, (Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1) at 2pm on October the 1st.
