Irish independent deputy Thomas Pringle receives European Director of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.

Dublin, June 11, 2024. The Irish deputy, Thomas Pringle, received this afternoon the Director of Europe of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Rigoberto Zarza Ross. In his capacity as Coordinator of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba, Pringle welcomed the ICAP representative to the facilities of the Irish Parliament.

During the exchange, in which the Cuban ambassador, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, participated, Zarza Ross, conveyed the greetings of the Coordinator of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Cuba with Ireland, Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Fernando González Llort and on his behalf thanked the solidarity maintained with his country by Mr. Pringle and the group he chairs.

Mr. Pringle reiterated the Irish Parliament's rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade maintained by the United States against Cuba and its inclusion in the State Department's List of Countries that Sponsor Terrorism.

Both parties also expressed their willingness to continue developing the ties of friendship that characterize relations between Cuba and Ireland, particularly in the parliamentary sphere.
