Irish solidarity is being very active in the confrontation with the economic blockade against Cuba.

During the recently concluded month of July and the beginning of August, Irish solidarity with Cuba has deployed numerous activities to denounce the resurgence of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against Cuba and the implementation of the Helms Burton Act.

The first of these activities took place at the entrance of the United States Ambassador's Residence in Dublin and was celebrated on the occasion of the reception offered by the Yankee diplomatic mission on July 4. This activity was led by “Cuba Support Group” and supported by numerous Irish solidarity organizations and friends. They were present with posters condemning the blockade and distributed printed information.

The second activity was carried out by trade unionist friends who, on the occasion of the National Conference of the "Irish Congress of Trade Union" made a sit-in in one of the most central avenues of Dublin with posters against the blockade and distributed graphic information.

It is worth mentioning that on July 15, an act of solidarity with Nicaragua and Venezuela was also held in Dublin, in the “Liberty Hall”, headquarters of the SIPTU union, which was attended by the Ambassadors of both sister nations.  There were numerous expressions of solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and in favor of the lifting of the Yankee blockade against the Cuban people.

Similarly, on August 5, the city of Belfast was the scene of an act of solidarity with Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, a message from the Cuban Ambassador made clear the firm will of the Government and Cuban people to face with greater effort and economic efficiency all the threats imposed by the resurgence of the blockade and the decision to grow the economy of the island and the welfare of the Cuban people.

There will be no adversity that can break the will of the Cuban people after 60 years of struggles and victories.

Likewise, Cuba's solidarity with Venezuela, Nicaragua and all the peoples that fight for a better future will be unwavering.

Solidarity is priceless.

In general, the issue of blocking has remained in the twitter account, @cubasupport; as well as other issues of Cuban current affairs and solidarity actions with Venezuela and Nicaragua, you can see it through the following links:
