Canberra, 23 July, 2023. Members of the Cuba Solidarity Association (Canberra Branch), commemorated, in the Australian capital, the 70th Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada Barracks.
During the emotional meeting, they exchanged on the importance of these events in the history of Cuba, as well as on the transcendence of the statement of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, after the events of the Moncada, known as "History will absolve me".
Members of the Australian solidarity association took the opportunity to reaffirm to the Cuban diplomats in this southern country, their commitment to the cause of Cuba, as well as their will to continue denouncing the US blockade against Cuba and the unjust inclusion of the Caribbean nation in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
The President of the Canberra branch of the Cuba Solidarity Association, Rob Parnell, dedicated some heartfelt words to the people of Cuba in celebration of the National Rebellion Day. For her part, the Ambassador of Cuba, thanked in a sentient way, the constant support of the Australian solidarity movement, which reaches almost 40 years.
