King of Lesotho begins official visit to Cuba

Pretoria, March 1, 2020.- The King of Lesotho, His Majesty Letsie III, arrived on Saturday February 29 in Cuba to begin his third official visit to our country. He was received upon arrival at the José Martí International Airport in Havana by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anayansi Rodríguez.
As part of the planned program, the monarch will pay tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, hold talks with Cuban authorities, and visit the Latin American School of Medicine, among other activities.
Lesotho and Cuba celebrated four decades of diplomatic relations in 2019, while expanding their ties with the signing of various cooperation agreements and the official visit to that country by the Cuban vice president, Inés María Chapman, in March.
