Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. January 21, 2019. The Director of LABIOFAM ASIA Ltd., Madyurys de los Ángeles Tellez Sanchez, is visiting Mongolia this week in order to continue advancing in the introduction of the product portfolio of this Cuban biotechnology company in the Asian nation.
Received by Mr. S. Batsaikhan, Deputy Director of the Mongolian Veterinary Agency Implementing Agency, the Cuban businesswoman held a meeting with executives of this Agency with the purpose of continuing to advance in the implementation of what was agreed in the signed Memorandum of Understanding during the visit in December of last year of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, HE. Mr. Ulaan Chultem, to the BIORAT Cuban production factory in Can Tho province, Vietnam.
The commercialization of this important Cuban product to combat rodent pests is one of the purposes of the visit, as well as continuing to evaluate the possibilities of building a factory for its production in Mongolia, which currently has about 30 million hectares of its territory infested with rodents. This pest causes considerable economic damage to agriculture and livestock in Mongolia.
Ms. M. Byambasuren, General Director of the Plant Protection Institute, pointed out at the meeting held in the afternoon that the BIORAT Cuban product has been recommended and endorsed by this Mongolian scientific institution based on the excellent field and laboratory results verified by their specialists for several years. During this meeting, scientists and specialists recognized the effectiveness of the product and its admiration for the research and development capabilities achieved by the Cuban industry LABIOFAM in favor of biological products for agriculture and livestock.
