Helsinki, January 1st.- The President of the Republic of Latvia, H.E. Mr. Egils Levits and the Chancellor of the Baltic nation, H.E. Mr. Edgars Rinkēvičs sent congratulatory letters to their Cuban counterparts Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, respectively, on the occasion of commemorating the 63rd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
Both messages reaffirm the will to continue developing the bonds of friendship between the two countries, while wishing prosperity for their people and success in the year that begins.
Bilateral relations between Latvia and Cuba were established on December 20, 1991, after the dissolution of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
