Helsinki, May 30, 2024.- From the World Village Festival, "Maailma kylässä Festival" in Helsinki the Comunist Party of Finland, Suomen Kommunistinen Puolue and the Spartacus Foundation launches the campaign in favor of the exclusion of Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism of the US Department of State.
From the Spartacus Foundation space at the Festival "we have explained to people the importance of the blockade being lifted and Cuba being excluded from the list of state sponsors of terrorism," said Jiri Mantysalo, Vice President of the Communist Party of Finland.
He added "we have also given them instructions to participate in the "Once Cent for Cuba" campaign that is being deployed throughout Europe to demand that European banks restore their services to Cuba and not follow the dictates of the United States, with this long blockade against the Island, which has been widely condemned by the International Community for several decades".
And concluded "We demand that the United States Government lift the blockade that generates so many economic difficulties for the people of Cuba".
The “Maailma kylässä Festival” is a free event that attracts tens of miles of people, offers culture from all over, debates focused on sustainable development issues and multiple activities, about Finland and the rest of the world.
