Pretoria, July 02, 2020.- On June 29 and 30, 2020, the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) held a video conferences chaired by Secretary General Blade Nzimande, in company with other leaders of the Communist Party of South Africa; and Ace Magashule, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the African National Congress (ANC), along with several members of that organization.
Both leaders offered valuable information on the efforts being made by South Africa to confront the pandemic of the new coronavirus and ratified their country's historical position against the blockade and the aggressions against Cuba, at the same time that they thanked our people for the solidarity aid that Cuban medical brigades provide in South Africa and throughout the continent.
In the exchanges, comrade Jorge Cuevas Ramos, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, explained to the South African leaders the experiences of our country in the confrontation with COVID-19, which take place in the midst of complex circumstances. imposed by the criminal US economic, commercial and financial blockade policy.
They accompanied the Cuban leader Ángel Arzuaga Reyes, deputy coordinating chief of the Department of International Relations, and other PCC officials.
