Nicosia, January 12, 2023 - The Mayor of Limassol, Mr. Nicos Nicolaides received at the city hall, on the morning of January 11, 2023, the Cuban Ambassador, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero.
During the friendly meeting, the Mayor updated the Cuban diplomat on all the reconstruction works and expansion projects being undertaken in the city, as well as the challenges faced from the social and environmental protection point of view.
For his part, the diplomat of the largest of the Antilles informed about the updates in the legislative and political order that have taken place in Cuba in recent years with the aim of giving greater autonomy to the provinces and municipalities. At the same time, he gave a wide-ranging report on the effects of the blockade imposed by the United States.
Both authorities agreed on the need to hold cultural and social events to show a little more of Cuba's culture in Cyprus (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
