The Cuban ambassador to Qatar, Alain Pérez Torres, was received by H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. At the meeting, both parties highlighted the excellent results in cooperation in the health sector and ratified their willingness to continue working to maintain the good state of bilateral ties and promote economic, financial and cooperation relations.
For his part, the Ambassador thanked Qatar for its traditional support for the Cuban Resolution with the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba. At the same time, he recognized the important role of Qatar in the search for a negotiated solution to the conflict between Israel and Palestine. The Secretary General also recognized and thanked Cuba for its historical support for the cause of the Palestinian people.
