The Cuban ambassador, Jorge Ferrer, held a friendly meeting with the vice president of the Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia, Mr. Narankhuu Dambadarjaa, and the Secretary General, Mrs. Undraa Erdenebileg.
The vice president of that organization recalled the long-standing historical ties of friendship between the two countries. He recalled that Cuba was the first country in Latin America and the Caribbean and one of the first in the world to establish diplomatic relations with Mongolia. He also recalled that our countries share several similar challenges, despite the geographical distance.
The ambassador updated them on the situation in Cuba. He recalled the maintenance by the Biden Administration of the more than 245 blockade measures adopted by Trump. He explained the opportunistic and criminal reinforcement of the aggressive and blockade policy of the US in the midst of the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic. He pointed out the persistence of destabilizing plans and the media war against Cuba in order to overthrow the Revolution.
They exchanged information on the actions in favor of Peace and Friendship of that Organization, ICAP and the Association of Friendship with Cuba. They also discussed the upcoming activities and events that are organized in the world in solidarity with Cuba.
The vice president of the Mongolian Peace and Friendship Organization announced a donation of 10,000 anti-Covid-19 masks for the Cuban people. The Ambassador deeply thanked this noble gesture of solidarity.
