Meeting with the Director of the International Sociocultural Foundation
Warsaw, May 4, 2026—At the Cuban Embassy in Poland, Ambassador Ibete Fernández Hernández and Second Secretary Brenda Cantalapiedra Aguilera held a meeting with Daniel Norbert Jankowski, director of the International Sociocultural Foundation.
Jankowski spoke about the founding of the International Social and Cultural Institute, which he directs, as a project that arose from a passion for culture and art. The Foundation is composed of professionals, enthusiasts, and scholars in the humanities, along with institutions, organizations, and local governments.
The parties discussed the possibilities of strengthening ties between Cuban cultural institutions and the Foundation to contribute to a greater dissemination of Cuban culture in Poland.
It was a productive meeting aimed at continuing to promote Cuban culture and showcasing its vibrant blend of African and European influences, not only through salsa (the most well-known rhythm of our music in Poland), but also through other lesser-known traditional rhythms, our dance, visual arts, and other artistic expressions.
