Pretoria, March 28. Members of the Association of Cuban Residents in South Africa (ACRSA) held a march in Pretoria today to demand the end of the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade to which the United States government has subjected Cuba for almost 60 years.
Gathered next to the gigantic bronze statue of Nelson Mandela, in front of the official headquarters of the South African national government, the Cubans residing in South Africa made their demand public as part of the Global Caravan against the Blockade that takes place in many parts of the world.
On the occasion of the march, the ACRSA issued a forceful statement that emphasizes:
“It is time to say enough! The Blockade cannot continue. We want to demand that the United States comply with International Law (…) By maintaining the economic, commercial and financial siege against Cuba, the United States violates the human rights of an entire nation. Enough already! We want peace and prosperity for Cuba and the world. Let's all unite for a better world! Let's fight against all kinds of injustices”.
