Roseau, March 26, 2020. Since the first case of a patient with Coronavirus COVID-19 was diagnosed in Dominica, the team of health professionals who attend them has had three cuban doctors who are members of the Cuban Brigade of Health Collaborators who work here as a result of the collaboration agreement signed between the Ministries of Health of Cuba and Dominica.

The collaborators Dr. Yerandy Valle Gutiérrez, Specialist in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care and the Specialists in Integral General Medicine Dra. Lenia María Moreno Aguado and Dr. Onan Pérez Zapata, have provided direct medical attention to patients with COVID - 19, complying with all the protocols established for these cases. The rest of the brigade members are working, providing medical assistance and participating in the diagnosis of the cases. The brigade's most experienced specialists, whose membership amounts to 61, are part of different working groups created by the Ministry of Health of this sister nation to face the COVID - 19.

A brigade of 35 members of the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics "Henry Reeve" will join the battle that Dominica is waging against COVID - 19, responding to a request made by the Prime Minister, the Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit.
