Canberra, 9 February 2024. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuban Baseball Federation and the New South Wales Baseball League was signed at the Cuban Embassy in Australia today.
The document was signed by the Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia, Tanieris Diéguez La O, on behalf of the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation; and by the CEO of the New South Wales Baseball League, Mark Marino.
Both entities highlighted the interest in establishing sports cooperation relations and their common will to collaborate in promoting the development of Baseball5 and Baseball in both countries based on the fundamental principles of sports.
The main objective of the Agreement is to establish the legal basis for the initiation of a process of collaboration between both entities to achieve sports exchanges in Baseball and Baseball5.
Executives and members of the Australian sports institution and members of the Cuban Embassy in Australia were also present.
