Dear friends, the Cuban Embassy and its staff endorse the efforts of the Botswana government to contain and prevent the spread of Covid-19, which protect the country and our lives.
Thanks to those measures already taken we feel safe in your country, confident that united, with discipline, and strong we will all overcome this unprecedented battle.
As you know, Cuba is a small, poor and blockaded country, which also fights this pandemic, but at the same time supports and assists other countries, based on our experience in situations of emergencies.
We are proud to reiterate that Cuban health professionals will remain in Botswana, as long as necessary. They are now displayed in 9 districts (Gaborone, Lobatse, Mochudi, Molepolole, Mahalapye, Serowe, Selebi Phikwe, Francistown and Maun) where they give their best every single day to save lives and prevent deaths, with a high level of commitment to the people of Botswana.
Together and organized we will overcome!
