Dear Ambassador:
Following the event that occurred in Venezuela on the 3rd of January 2026 in which a group of Cuban fulfilling their internationalist duties lost their lives, the Seychelles Cuban Friendship Association, (SECUFA) would like to express our deepest condolences to the Cuban Government and the Cuban People as you mourn the loss of your loved ones.
We recognize the profound sorrow, grief and pain felt by families, friends and communities affected by this tragedy. Their loss is felt not only in Cuba but also by all those who value human life, peace and dignity. It is a stark reminder of the cost of conflict and fragility of peace in the region
SECUFA reiterates its firm commitments to the Cuban People. At a moment when tensions are high and uncertainty surround the future, we pray that dialogue should be instead of force to resolve any conflicts.
May unity, resilience and compassion guide you through this time of sorrow.
At this solemn moment, we extend our sincere condolences to Government and people of Cuba and reaffirm our enduring friendship and commitment to peace, respect for human life and solidarity among nations.
