Maseru, March, 2019.- The Vice President of Cuba, Inés María Chapman held a fruitful meeting with the honorable Lasego Makgothi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Lesotho.
The Minister thanked Cuba for the medical cooperation in Lesotho and for the training of doctors in Basothos currently in the Island. For its part, the Cuban Vice President thanked the support of the Kingdom of Lesotho in the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed to Cuba by the government of the United States. Both parties also exchanged about the current state of bilateral relations and ratified the willingness to explore new ways to diversify and expand cooperation.
Accompanied the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Director of Europe and those of Europe and the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lesotho, Itumeleny Rafutto Labuschagne and on the Cuban side were Armando Vergara Bueno, Deputy Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba; and, Rodolfo Benítez Verson Ambassador of Cuba for the Kingdom of Lesotho.
