Kingstown, April 22, 2024. - The Minister of Health, Welfare and Environment, The Honourable St. Clair Prince, received this morning the Cuban Ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, meeting in which both parties discussed issues on the bilateral agenda.
The minister thanked Cuba for its historic contribution to the development of medicine and the welfare of the Vincentian people, while noting that all the conditions are in place to increase cooperation in this important sector, where there has been a strong collaboration for 3 decades.
There are currently 85 Cuban health professionals working in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, one of the largest medical brigades in the Caribbean. (Embassy of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
