The Minister of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, heads the Iranian delegation to the XVI session of the Cuba-Iran Intergovernmental Commission, which will take place from 13 to 15 February in Havana. The previous edition of this event was held in September 2011.
The Persian delegation, made up of about 30 officials and businessmen from the state and private sectors, is scheduled to hold meetings with representatives of Cuban ministries and institutions involved in economic and trade relations with the Islamic Republic in sectors such as health, energy, agriculture, higher education, sport, science and law.
The representation of the Antilles to this important meeting, in which several bilateral agreements will be negotiated and signed, will be headed by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, who is the counterpart of Dr. Qazizadeh Hashemi.
During his stay on the Island, the Iranian minister will also fulfill a collateral program which includes interviews with other senior Cuban officials and visits to places of scientific and cultural interest.
